Located at the Wakarusa Crossroads Shopping Center, this 5,500 square foot restaurant tenant finish is one of the most unique projects in Mar Lan’s history.
The restaurant includes a full bar, an elevated seating area, complete kitchen facilities, and the Owners also utilized their end location in the shopping center to develop a covered outdoor seating area.
Custom murals painted on the interior walls depict iguanas re-enacting scenes from the Wizard of Oz, taking part in local sports activities at the University of Kansas, and various other scenes relevant to the Lawrence local scene. There’s even a wall dedicated to the various tradesmen who worked on the tenant finish including the superintendents from Mar Lan Construction.
