This design-build project provides a 17,200 square foot research facility for Pioneer Hi-Bred in North Lawrence. The building consists of 3,200 square feet of office space, 10,000 square feet of warehouse, and 4,000 square feet of research area.
The building holds a seed handling room for counting soybeans with high intensity lighting and a vacuum system, a cold room for seed storage with HVAC systems to maintain 50°F and 50% humidity 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year, and a threshing room for soybean production and analysis from the field.
