Mar Lan Construction was selected as the Construction Manager for the addition of a second 9,000 square foot storage module to the original University of Kansas Library Annex building. This module provided a controlled environment for the storage for an additional 1.6 million volumes.
This project also added a Film Storage Module addition which is used to store acetate films and negatives. This module supports long-term film preservation by maintaining film quality with a constant 35° and 35% humidity controlled space.
