Mar Lan Construction was selected as Design-Builder to provide and install a turnkey photovoltaic (PV) system for the Health Center located at 16281 Q Road, Mayetta, Kansas. The solar array system will be installed on soil bearing support systems located adjacent to the facility. Over 13,000 photovoltaic panels will be utilized in this system which at design peak is nearly 225 kW of power generation. The system will cover over an acre of ground and will be seeded with a mix of native Prairie grasses and wildflowers that complements honeybee activity completing a full ecological circle as they also harvest honey. The site is enclosed with fencing and a designated area for bee keeping is located inside the fenced area. This system will add to the existing system that is roof mounted on the facility.
