This 30,000 square foot building is a multi-use building housing loft apartments on the third and fourth floors, and offices for the City of Lawrence on the second floor. Owners planned for retail space on the western half of the first floor as well as finishes for a restaurant on the first floor. This four-story building is the second phase of the Downtown 2000 Redevelopment project in Lawrence, Kansas. It followed on the heels of the parking garage located next door.
The building structure consists of spread footings with a structural steel frame. The exterior walls are framed with light gauge steel, and are faced with a combination of brick, stone, EIFS, and curtain-wall windows.
