Mar Lan Construction was selected as the Construction Manager at Risk for upgrades at the USD 497 Education Support Center. The scope included a new connector building addition that would tie two of the campus buildings together and provide a common entrance to the services offered at the campus. This new addition provides a central location for visitors and contains a reception center, back room support and mechanical space. Interior spaces in both existing facilities were renovated as well with the new realignment.
Additionally, the façade of both buildings had met their lifespan and needed upgrading. A mix of horizontal and panelized metal wall systems were installed along with insulation to increase the energy efficiency of both buildings. Site improvements included new sidewalks, an employee patio, and landscaping.
