Bishop Seabury Academy, founded in 1997, is a private school with grades 7 through 12. Mar Lan Construction was selected as the design-builder for the expansion project in the Spring of 2007.
The demolition of the old annex building made way for the start of construction of Reese Hall, a new 7,000 SF classroom building that houses four language arts classrooms, a visual arts classroom, and a chorus and theater classroom.
Prior to the annex demolition, the old building had to undergo asbestos abatement which provided one last educational opportunity. The Lawrence Fire Department used the vacated building for rescue training for its firefighters.
