Update on the Crossing at KU Project

There are so many things happening at the Crossing at KU project it’s hard to capture it all. Shown in the photos, the formed radius wall when completed will serve dual purposes. It will be a retaining wall as well as a place for walking pedestrians to sit and rest and enjoy the 4+ acre lake. Within the lake, the poured concrete basin structure photo captures the mere size of what is required to control the downstream water run off. This is a huge improvement to the systems. Then lastly the large area that may appear to be concrete is the turf playing field sub grade. When completed there will be two large areas that will offer a variety of playing surfaces as well as being a new practice field for the Marching Jayhawks! Brandon Able, job site superintendent, has his hands full keeping over all the activities.
