Progress is being made at the Evans Scholars Foundation project. Shown in the photos are some PVC lined ductwork that will be concealed beneath a portion of the second floor slab on grade. This duct will introduce conditioned air to the lowest level of this three-story building. This concept was utilized in the initial design of the facility making it unnecessary to place ductwork in the overhead ceilings which would challenge the ceiling heights in the occupied spaces, a clever way to offset this challenge. Dan Connelly, jobsite superintendent, is busy overseeing all the activities happening on the project. It is fun doing things that are not “typical” on most projects like this underfloor system.
