Mar Lan Construction is proud to have been a part of this incredible project. The Ribbon Cutting turnout certainly showed the community’s support for this program and the need for this new facility. Over 400 supporters, kids, and community members were present — as well as the President and CEO of the Boys and Girls Clubs of America — for this wonderful event.
The new Teen Center ties directly to the Lawrence College and Career Center on the lower level and the upper level serves as the administration department and extended Teen Lounge for the Boys and Girls Club. It features a teaching kitchen which doubles as a serving kitchen for the after-school program, an Art/Maker space, a full-size gymnasium, and outdoor spaces used for collaboration and study creating a perfect mix and setting for our teens.
Jason Kellogg, Mar Lan’s project superintendent, said it is one of the most fulfilling projects he has been involved with and could not have enjoyed working with this design, construction and ownership team more. We salute the Boys and Girls Club of Lawrence.
