A “catio” is defined as a cat enclosure or “cat patio” that provides feline safety and enrichment outdoors. Mar Lan Construction is in the beginning stages of providing such an enclosure at the Lawrence Humane Society. Located next to the building’s entry, the enclosure will be made up of a metal framework with escape-proof stainless wire mesh walls. We think our feline friends at LHS will be very happy with the results and will be enjoying their time outside in complete safety!
