Friday, July 16, Senator Jerry Moran was a guest at the Heartland Community Health Center to check on the progress of this great project serving the City of Lawrence and the Douglas County region. Senator Moran thanked the center for its work to provide quality and compassionate health care to this area. In attendance to meet the Senator were (l-r) Brandon Abel – superintendent from Mar Lan Construction; Senator Jerry Moran; Co-Chair of the capital campaign committee – Marilyn Dobski; Gale Lantis of Mar Lan Construction; Rachel Hartford – Heartland Community Health Center; Father Mick Mulvaney; acting CEO Julie Boden Schmitt; Board President Brad Koehler, Tom Dobski, Chris Nichols – Project Manager from Mar Lan Construction, and Riley Scott – former aide for Senator Moran.
