Mar Lan Construction was chosen as the Construction Manager at Risk for the new Treatment and Recovery Campus of Douglas County. It will include two housing projects – Transitions and The Cottages to be located on the campus. The project, when completed, will serve those with mental illness, substance use disorders and addictions in Lawrence and Douglas County by helping provide safe housing during treatment and recovery.
Groundbreaking ceremonies were held at the site on November 8, 2019. The project is located in the 1000 block of West Second Street, just north of the Bert Nash Community Mental Health Center.
Mar Lan’s project team consists of Project Manager Chris Nichols and Dan Connelly serving as project superintendent. Work is underway and completion of the project is scheduled for the end of 2020.
