Mar Lan had the opportunity to attend the groundbreaking ceremonies today for the Douglas County Treatment and Recovery Campus project. It was a little chilly, windy, but thankfully not rainy, kick-off of the construction phase of the project. Shown in the pictures are representatives from Mar Lan Gale Lantis, Dan Connelly who will be the project superintendent, and Chris Nichols, project manager. From TreanorHL are architects Chris Cunningham and Walker Douglas. Turning the shovels are Patrick Schmitz, CEO Bert Nash, Laura Howard from Kansas Dept. of Aging and Disability Services, County Commissioners Nancy Thellman, Patrick Kelly, and Michelle Derusseau, and LMH Health President and CEO Russ Johnson. Not pictured but present at the ceremonies were Director of Behavioral Health Projects Bob Tyransky, representatives from Heartland Community Health Center, and Douglas County Administrator Sara Plinsky.
