Scotch Fabric Care

2007 N. Topeka Blvd. | Topeka, Kansas

Owners requested a Design-Build delivery of this project so Mar Lan Construction organized the team of Sabatini Architects, PKMR Engineers, and Grob Engineering to design the facility.
As one of their busiest locations in Topeka, owners wanted to replace the existing building, a dry cleaning operation, and provide a leaseable space for their new tenant, Jimmy John’s.

The first phase of the project was to build the structure adjacent to the existing store which allowed Scotch Dry Cleaners to remain open and serve clients during the entire construction period. The new facility is a wood framed, 1820 sf building. SIPS panels were used for the roof construction, and a façade of aluminum storefront, EIFS and a stone veneer water table make up the exterior.
