Improvements to The Lied Center consisted of expansion of the existing lobby to reduce congestion during events, construction of a new education pavilion to serve as a learning and performance area, and to provide additional and renovated office space for the Lied Center staff.

The education pavilion boasts a unique design of the ceiling elements, sprung wood dance floor, incredible acoustics, and an intimate atmosphere for performance and social events.

“As the primary architect and designer for the project, I am very sensitive to the need for the contractor to be a positive and proactive team player, one who understands and embraces the design concepts and works collaboratively to find the best solutions. From the earliest stages of the design process, Gale Lantis and Brian Lantis performed that role exceptionally well. They dug into the details of the existing building, took the time to fully understand all of the issues, provided very thorough and accurate cost estimates and projected schedules, and made my job much easier.”
